During the meeting of the Marshall Park Board on Wednesday, June 13, Superintendent Jeff Stubblefield reported on activity so far at the Marshall Aquatic Center.

Stubblefield– who said that total is through Tuesday, June 12– said the pool has been closed a couple of days due to the weather and early one day due to an accidental fecal release.
Stubblefield also said a number of other summer programs are chugging along, running smoothly.

In other news, Stubblefield said “A Day in the Park” is shaping up to be another great day on Saturday, July 21, with a lot of vendors scheduled to be on hand. He said several events and activities are planned, including music, a petting zoo, a rock-climbing wall, bounce houses and much more– for the free, all-day event. The event will be held in the parking lot and on the grounds of the Marshall Aquatic Center.
Stubblefield also said the park purchased an AED for the aquatic center to take the place of an older device that needed to be replaced.
