An Excelsior Springs man was injured in a rollover tractor-trailer accident on I-70 in Saline County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of a westbound Volvo semi-truck, 69-year-old Tony Wayman, reportedly was coming to a controlled stop on the shoulder, but the truck traveled off the roadway, overturned and then struck an embankment.
Wayman was transported by E.M.S to I-70 Hospital in Sweet Springs for treatment of minor injures.
The accident occurred at about 1:10 p.m. at the 65.2 mile marker on I-70 near Sweet Springs.
