The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved the appointment of Denetta Amor as Emergency Management Director and recognized Darla Buckley for five years of service as an EMT at the Higginsville Ambulance Department during its meeting on Monday, June 18.
According to a spokesperson for the city, the board also approved an application for a fireworks sales permit for the Higginsville Lions Club to set up at Walmart.
According to a release from City Administrator Jeanette Dobson, in observance of Independence Day all city offices will be closed on July 4.
