A Marshall native is scheduled to conduct a band during its performance next week in Branson.
According to a news release, Buddy Hannaford, a retired bandmaster from Trenton, will be the guest conductor for the Fourth Army Band (FAB), which will hold its reunion in Branson from June 24-27, on the campus of College of the Ozarks. The reunion concert will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, in the Jones Auditorium.
The release says Howard Bell, organizer of the FAB reunions, was Director of Bands for the Marshall Public School District when he started Hannaford on the French horn. Bell is scheduled to perform while Hannaford– a graduate of Marshall High School and Missouri Valley College– conducts the concert.
