During its meeting on Tuesday, June 19, the Marshall School Board approved a bid for security cameras.
According to a release from the district, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Terry Lorenz presented three bids for cameras for the Marshall High School/Saline County Career Center/Industrial Arts building.
The board voted to approve the bid from CTS for $45,334.55.
In other news, the board approved a contract with “Let’s Go Learn” for Development Online Reading Assessment (DORA), which will replace the current Gates McGinitie test in the amount of $16,500.
The board also approved several grant proposals: — Title I.A – $711,873; Title I.C Migrant – $13,900; Title II.A – $89,219; Title III ELL – $32,120; Title III Immigrant – $5,000; Title IV-A – $48,891; Title V – $44,607; Special Education IDEA Part B – $589,088; and Homeless Grant – $134,400.
The board also voted to increase Lance Tobin’s contract from 10 to 11 months as Bueker Middle School Principal and Kristen Niemeyer’s contract from 10 to 10-1/2 months as MHS Athletic Director/Assistant Principal as of the 2018-19 school year and an additional five days pay to Niemeyer at her daily rate for the 2018-19 school year for helping with the MHS administrators’ induction.
