At the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, June 21, Saline County Emergency Management Agency Director Tony Day said he will be attending a meeting on Friday, June 22, to learn more about RAVE, a mobile safety platform which will help out first responders.

As an example, Day said this system will help authorities and first responders get aid to those in need during a power outage.

Day said the alert system can be used many different ways, but his main focus, once everything is in place, is to alert residents who sign up about storms.
