After a traffic stop on I-70 and probable-cause search of the vehicle on June 19, a Tacoma, Washington, resident has been charged a couple of felonies in Lafayette County.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities located 20 sealed packages of marijuana that weighed a total of approximately 20 pounds. Authorities also found a handgun.
Online court documents say 27-year-old Denny Diamond Buth has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid; and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond has been set at $15,000 cash or surety.
Buth was arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty on June 20. His cause has been continued for another hearing at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
