A Louisville, Kent., man has been charged with a couple of felonies after a traffic stop on I-70 in Lafayette County on Monday, June 25.
A probable-cause statement says the driver did not allow the Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper to conduct a probable-cause search of the vehicle, but a K-9 officer alerted authorities to the presence of illegal substances. During a search of the vehicle, authorities say they found 16 ounces of marijuana; THC-infused edibles; two jars containing several ounces of suspected THC oil; and THC vaporizer cartridges.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and 35-year-old William Harrison Hyden, who was arrested at the scene, has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana and a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana. Bond has not been set yet.
Hyden’s initial hearing at Lafayette County Circuit Court is pending.
