A Marshall woman was injured in a traffic accident in Saline County on Tuesday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of an eastbound vehicle, 27-year-old Carlos Cortes, of Marshall, reportedly overcorrected the vehicle which began to travel into the left lane. The vehicle then traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a sign.
Cortes reportedly was not injured, but a passenger, 42-year-old Susana Cortes, reportedly was transported by a private vehicle to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment of minor injures.
The accident happened just after 2:30 p.m. at the 75.8 mile marker of I-70.
