Two Houstonia residents have been charged with a felony in Saline County for allegedly taking another person’s vehicle without permission and crashing it earlier this month.
According to a probable-cause statement, Travis Tindell and his younger brother, Marshall, allegedly admitted to authorities that they took the keys to the 2004 Crown Victoria without permission. One of them lost control, and the vehicle struck a ditch multiple times. The damage has been estimated by a body shop at more than $2,000. The brothers were arrested after talking to authorities.
Online court documents say warrants have been issued and each of the accused has been charged with a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree. Bond for each has been set at $7,500 cash, surety or 10-percent approved.
Each of the brothers is due to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, at Saline County Circuit Court.
