The Friends of Arrow Rock invite residents to attend the annual Impromptu Parade to celebrate Independence Day on Wednesday, July 4.
According to a news release, at about 11 a.m., the parade is scheduled to begin and will travel through Main Street in Arrow Rock. Residents who would like to participate in the parade should gather at the Old Schoolhouse at Eighth and Main Streets no later than 10:45 a.m.

In the past, parade entries have included decorated vehicles, antique tractors, equestrian groups, and the always-popular Arrow Rock Kazoo Band.
Friends of Arrow Rock Executive Director Sandy Selby says everyone is welcome to join the kazoo band on parade day, regardless of experience, as extra kazoos will be available for participants.
Spectators who watch the parade from the boardwalk will be treated to the kazoo band’s grand finale.
