Saline County Commissioners spent some time in a Cooper County town on Friday, June 22, looking at a wastewater treatment plant the county may need regarding the water project at the Marshall Junction.
At the meeting of the commission on Tuesday, June 26, Northern District Commissioner Richard Clemens said the county’s engineer Rich Rhodes, of Rhodes Engineering, was on hand as they toured a plant in Otterville.

Clemens said the system looks very good, and it gives the county additional options moving forward. He said it’s a little more pricey than they expected, but it might be the way to go.
Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner said there are two options.

The initial part of the project is getting an engineering study completed on what it’s going to take and how much it’s going to cost to get water piped to the south side of I-70 at the junction of U.S. Highway 65.
