Two Stover teens sustained injuries in a rollover traffic crash in Pettis County on Thursday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 18-year-old Ruben Rubio reportedly overcorrected his southbound vehicle, which had traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. Both occupants, who reportedly were not wearing seat belts, were ejected.
Rubio was flown by Life Flight Eagle helicopter and a passenger in the vehicle, 17-year-old Colton Johannes transported by Pettis County ambulance, to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious and moderate injuries, respectively.
The crash happened at about 10:50 a.m. on Route M, one-half mile north of Route A.
