A Windsor woman was killed in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Johnson County on Friday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 22-year-old Corbin Garry, of Warrensburg, reportedly overtook and struck another eastbound vehicle, driven by 63-year-old Susan Price, of Windsor, in the rear. After impact, both vehicles began to slide, went airborne and struck trees on the south side of the roadway.
Price was pronounced deceased at the scene at 5:14 a.m. by Deputy Coroner Troy Armstrong.
Garry and a passenger in his vehicle, 22-year-old Manuel Huerta, of Warrensburg, each sustained minor injuries and reportedly were transported to Centerpoint Hospital and Research Medical Center, respectively, for treatment.
The crash happened at about 4 a.m. on U.S. Highway 50 at Northwest 1751st Road.
