A Smithton man who has been charged with a felony for alleged inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile earlier this year is due in court this week.
According to a probable-cause statement, on February 7, a female told authorities about an unwanted sexual encounter in a vehicle with 41-year-old Hollis Dean Smith on January 13.
Online court documents say Smith has been charged with a Class D Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree. Smith posted surety bond on April 25.
Smith appeared in court and was arraigned on May 1. He is scheduled to appear for another hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
