An Independence man accused of a murder in Lafayette County in 2016, plead guilty to felony charges set against him on May 21, 2018, and was recently sentenced to send over 50 years in state prison.
According to online court documents, Ryan Beamgard plead guilty to six felony charges, including a Class A Felony for Murder in the Second Degree. Beamgard admitted to shooting two people when he unlawfully entered a home in Odessa in May 2016. One person died and another was critically injured during the shooting.
Online court documents also say the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole conducted an assessment report and after a review of the report, the court sentenced Beamguard to spend over 5o years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on July 3, 2018.
Beamguard was remanded into the custody of the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office for delivery to the Missouri DOC.
