A Tucson, Arizona man was seriously injured in an accident which backed up traffic for several hours on I-70 in Cooper County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of an eastbound vehicle, 23-year-old Brady Garrison, reportedly overcorrected the vehicle which was traveling off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a rock wall.
Garrison, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injures.
The accident happened just before 9:30 a.m. at the 91.4 mile marker of I-70.
