A teenager from Geneseo, Ill., drowned at Lake of the Ozarks in Camden County on Wednesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 13-year-old male reportedly jumped off a vessel into the lake, was believed to have suffered a medical condition and did not resurface. After a search, the teen’s body was recovered, and he was pronounced deceased at 8:47 p.m. by Medical Examiner Crystal Lloyd at the scene.
The incident– which happened at the 21 mile marker of the Osage Arm in Salt Hollow Cove– was first reported at 4:05 p.m.
