A Warrensburg man was seriously injured in a traffic crash in Johnson County on Wednesday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a westbound Harley Davidson, driven by 29-year-old Jeffrey Porter, reportedly traveled into the path of a southbound SUV, driven by 34-year-old Jeffery Mumaw, of Blue Springs. The bike overturned and ejected Porter. The SUV traveled off the roadway and struck a sign.
Porter reportedly was flown by Life Flight helicopter to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment. Mumaw reportedly was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash happened just after 12:45 p.m. on Missouri Highway 13, just north of Route Y.
