A Sedalia man who allegedly fled in his vehicle from the scene of a two-vehicle traffic crash on June 29 has been charged with a felony.
According to a probable-cause statement, a woman told authorities that she was driving southbound on Hancock Avenue when a green van exited a parking lot and collided with the passenger’s side of her vehicle. Authorities later located the van, which reportedly had damage consistent with the crash and matched what authorities saw on surveillance video. The damage to the alleged victim’s vehicle has been estimated to be more than $3,900 by W-K Chevrolet.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been requested and 32-year-old Byron Alfred Guider Jr. has been charged with a Class E Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident- Property Damage Exceeding $1,000; and a driving-related misdemeanor.
Guider’s initial appearance at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
