A Carrollton woman was injured in a traffic accident in Carroll County on Tuesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 24-year-old Julia Eaves, reportedly experienced a mechanical malfunction which caused the driver to lose control. The vehicle then traveled off the left side of the roadway and vaulted over a culvert before coming to a rest.
Eaves, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton for treatment of moderate injures.
The accident happened at 12:15 p.m. on Route D, one-half mile south of County Road 240.
