A court proceeding involving a Bates City man charged with multiple felonies for allegedly stabbing a man last year in Lafayette County is scheduled for Monday, July 16.
Online court documents say Michael Alexander, now 45, is charged with a Class A Felony for Assault in the First Degree, Causing Serious Physical Injury; a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action.
Alexander entered a plea of not guilty during his arraignment hearing on August 10, 2017.
A pre-trial conference in the matter is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. at Lafayette County Circuit Court. A jury trial for Alexander is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 30.
