A Nelson man has been charged with a felony after an incident on Saturday, July 14.
According to a release from Saline County Sheriff Cindi Mullins, at approximately 10:39 p.m., personnel from the Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at a residence in the 300 block of North Marshall Street in Nelson. The suspect refused to comply with orders to exit the residence, so warrants were obtained, and the MSHP Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) responded.
Arrested was 58-year-old Reginald Vesser.
According to online court documents, Vesser, who currently is being held at the Saline County Jail, has been charged with a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Exhibiting, with bond set at $15,000 cash only. One of the conditions of bond is he is not to possess a firearm.
Vesser’s initial appearance at Saline County Circuit Court is pending.
