Bond has been set at a quarter of a million dollars cash or surety for a Sedalia man who has been charged with multiple counts of a sex-related felony involving a juvenile.
According to a probable-cause statement, on July 7, a juvenile alleged to authorities that 45-year-old Eric W. Fields, sexually abused him when he was between the ages of 7 and 9– 2012 and 2014.
According to online court documents, Fields has been charged with five counts of an Unclassified Felony for Attempted Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree- Deviate Sex with a Person Less Than 14 Years Old and a sex-related misdemeanor.
Fields appeared for his arraignment hearing on Tuesday, July 17. His cause has been continued for a counsel-status hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
