The Community Food Pantry in Marshall received a four-figure grant check during a presentation on Thursday, July 19.
Chairman of the board Ron Duvall said this $8,000 donation from the Monsanto Fund has been earmarked to purchase certain products.

Duvall said the food pantry always is accepting donations of food products and/or money.

Terry Beeler, site lead for Monsanto in Marshall who was on hand to help make the presentation, said organizations submit their
projects– whether they are in Marshall or any other community Monsanto has a business– and they have to be approved by the fund directors for money to be granted.
Duvall said the Community Food Pantry has received a grant from Monsanto for several consecutive years and “Monsanto is a good partner to have in the community.”
