A Marceline teenager was injured in a traffic accident in Randolph County on Sunday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 17-year-old Morgan Cockrell, reportedly traveled off the left side of the roadway, stuck a sign and median barrier, traveled into the northbound lanes and came to a rest off the east side of the roadway.
Cockrell reportedly refused treatment of moderate injures at the scene. A passenger, 17-year-old Marlee Slater, of Madison, was transported by Randolph County ambulance to Moberly Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injures.
The accident happened at 7 a.m. on U.S. Highway 63 at County Road 1330, one and a half mile south of Cairo.
