A jury trial that was originally set for next week for a Marshall teenager accused of murder has been pushed back until after the start of 2019.
According to a news release, 18-year-old Noah Kelliker was identified as a suspect in connection with the shooting death of 21-year-old Cassandra L. White at the Western View Estates Trailer Park on Oak Grove Lane in Sedalia on January 9, 2018.
According to online court documents, Kelliker is facing a Class A Felony for Second-Degree Murder; a Class B Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Shooting at a Person; a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Discharge into a Home; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action.
Kelliker, who is now 19, entered a plea of not guilty on February 5.
A hearing in the matter was held on Tuesday, July 24, and a three-day jury trial that was scheduled to begin Wednesday, August 1, has been reset to begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23. A pre-trial conference is scheduled to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 7, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
