Several area city governments are scheduled to hold meetings on Monday, August 6.
During its meeting, the Marshall City Council is scheduled to consider approval of a contract between the city, the Marshall Municipal Utilities’ Board of Public Works and Cunningham Sandblasting and Painting for the Water Tower Painting Project; and an agreement between the city and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for mill and overlay work.
According to the agenda, the council also is scheduled to hold discussions over public hearing topics regarding the 2018-19 Tax Levy and the annexation of city owned property.
There also is a closed, executive session on the agenda for the board to discuss legal, real-estate and personnel matters.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the city offices building at 214 North Lafayette Avenue.

The Higginsville Board of Aldermen is scheduled to commission a police officer during its meeting.
According to the agenda, the board also is scheduled to discuss a bill regarding the procedure of disclosing conflicts of interest, as well as discuss a bill pertaining to duck hunting.
There also is a closed, executive session on the agenda for the board to discuss legal, real-estate and personnel matters.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at city hall at 1922 Main Street.

A bill regarding the addition of on article to an ordinance for certain municipal code is scheduled to be discussed by the Carrollton Town Council.
The agenda says the council also is scheduled to consider an ordinance regarding the procedure of disclosing conflicts of interest and substantial interest for certain officials.
There also is a closed, executive session on the agenda for the council to discuss legal, real-estate, personnel and contract matters.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at city hall at 206 West Washington Avenue.

The Sedalia City Council is scheduled to discuss an agreement with Cochran Engineering for professional design services relating to the downtown plaza at its meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m.
On the agenda, the council also is scheduled to discuss several public works ordinances including one regarding the possible addition of fees for pickup of solid waste and bulky rubbish within the city’s right-of-ways. Also, the council is scheduled to consider agreements for software applications for several public works departments.
There are several other items to be discussed during the meeting at city hall at 200 South Osage Avenue.

The Concordia Board of Aldermen is scheduled to discuss bids for the leasing of equipment for work needed at the southeast lagoon during its meeting beginning at 7 p.m.
According to the agenda, aldermen are scheduled to introduce proposed ordinances regarding the regulation of the use of seat belts and child restrains in a motor vehicle within city limits, as well as the regulation of garage sale by requiring a permit and establishing a timeframe for the removal of signage. Also, aldermen are scheduled to discuss the opportunity to establish a use tax to be put before voters during the November Election.
The meeting is scheduled to be held in room 203 at the Concordia Community Building at 802 South Gordon Street.

The Boonville City Council is scheduled to hear the first reading of a bill to amend the Code of General Ordinances regarding the city counselor position during its meeting.
According to the agenda, the council also is scheduled to hear reports from various departments and discuss separate agreements with two individuals.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the city council chambers at 525 East Spring Street.
