A woman from Colorado was seriously injured in a rollover traffic crash in Lafayette County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 55-year-old Carole Waldron, of Marshall, reportedly traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a mile marker pole, overcorrected, returned to the roadway and struck the passenger side of another eastbound vehicle, driven by 62-year-old Robin Jones-Allen, of Pueblo West, CO. Jones-Allen’s vehicle then overturned off the right side of the roadway, and Waldron’s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and came to a rest in the cable barriers.
Waldron reportedly was not injured, but Jones-Allen was transported by helicopter to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of serious injures.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. at the 53 mile marker on I-70.
