A Moniteau County teenager was injured in a rollover traffic accident in Cooper County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as a northbound vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and the driver, 19-year-old Phillip Strobel, of California, reportedly overcorrected the vehicle causing it to travel off the left side of the roadway, overturn and struck a fence. Strobel, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.
Strobel was transported by private vehicle to Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville for treatment of moderate injures.
The accident happened just before 3 p.m. on Route W, just north of Prairie Road.
