Area firefighters were toned out to battle a structure fire in Slater on Monday, August 13.
Slater Fire Chief Todd Jenkins details the situation of his crew responding to a structure fire on West Maple Street.

Jenkins said the Marshall Fire Department provided some help at the scene due to some minor injures to his personnel.

Jenkins said the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, and the structure was deemed a total loss. No other injuries were reported.
