A Sedalia man, who’s address is listed as homeless, has been charged with a felony for allegedly assaulting another man recently in Pettis County.
A probable-cause statement says Sedalia Police officers were dispatched to report of an alleged assault at a convenience store in the 300 block of West Broadway. Officers spoke with the victim and noticed he had a laceration on his upper lip and his nose was bleeding. The victim stated he was punched and kicked multiple times in the head by 47-year-old Sean Burke. During his apprehension, Burke reportedly threatened to kick the officers in the face and cause further harm to the victim.
Online court documents say Burke has been charged with a Class B Felony for First-Degree Assault. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Burke’s initial hearing at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
