Marshall Public Schools will be beginning classes a week later than originally thought.
During an interview on KMMO on Thursday, August 16, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Terry Lorenz explained why some cleanup was required at Southeast Elementary School. He said some boiler pipes had ruptured and the only way to get to those pipes was through the floors or the concrete.
Dr. Lorenz said several people throughout the entire district– as well as ServPro– have pitched in to help with the cleanup. He said they are happy to report that by 9 a.m. today, two-thirds of the rooms in the building can be accessed.
The Open House at Southeast is set for Monday, August 20. Classes are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 22.
