At its meeting on Monday, August 13, the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen considered approval of a bid to improve the Jefferson Street Lift Station.
City Clerk Michelle Fuehring said the board approved a bid of $22,538 to purchase and install two new pumps at the lift station and a bid of $9,545 for a new electrical box so the new pumps will be covered by a warranty.
Fuehring said this will help get the lift station out of the flood zone.

Another action asked for involved a pressure tank for the water tower.

Fuehring said this will cost the city $1,200.
