John E. Maycock, age 61, of Waverly, died on Monday, August 13, 2018.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, at the Waverly Christian Church. Burial will follow at Val Halla Cemetery.

Visitation begins one hour prior to the service at the church. For those who would like to make a memorial contribution, the family respectfully requests they be made to Family Choice. They may be left at or mailed to Bittiker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 223, Carrollton.

John is survived by his significant other, Donna Smith of Waverly; one brother, Douglas Maycock and wife Norma of Marshall; two sisters, Mary Brayman and husband Kenneth of Marshall, Missouri and Lisa Adams and husband Duane of Rogers, Arkansas; one grandson, Austin (Bucky) Rehkop of Blackburn; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Junior and Minnie Elizabeth Maycock; and his grandparents.
