Several area city governments are scheduled to hold meetings on Monday, August 20.
The Marshall City Council is scheduled to hold public hearings regarding the 2018-19 Tax Levy and the annexation of city owned property beginning at 6 p.m.
The agenda also says the council is scheduled to consider the adoption of a resolution for the retention and destruction policy of police department records, as well as possibly approve an agreement with the Saline County Collector for the collection of certain taxes levied.
There also is a closed, executive session on the agenda for the board to discuss legal, real-estate and personnel matters.
The meeting is scheduled at the city offices building at 214 North Lafayette Avenue.

The Higginsville Board of Aldermen is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the 2018-19 Tax Levy during its meeting.
According to the agenda, the board also is scheduled to discuss setting a date and time for the Finance/Administration Committee meeting, as well as possibly approve an agreement with Merchant Flatwork for concrete work needed for the 2018 Street Improvement Program.
There also is a closed, executive session on the agenda for the board to discuss legal, real-estate and personnel matters.
The meeting is scheduled to begin with the public hearing at 6 p.m. at city hall at 1922 Main Street.

A public hearing about the 2018 Tax Levy will be held at 5:45 p.m., before the regular-session meeting of the Carrollton Town Council.
The agenda says the council also is scheduled to hear reports regarding buildings on the square and a kids parade scheduled for October 27.
There also is a closed, executive session on the agenda for the council to discuss legal, real-estate, personnel and contract matters.
The meeting is scheduled at city hall at 206 West Washington Avenue.

The Sedalia City Council is scheduled begin its meeting with a public hearing about its proposed tax rate for the year at 6 p.m.
On the agenda, the council also is scheduled to discuss several public safety ordinances including one regarding requirements for the pre-employment physical exams for the fire department . Also, the council is scheduled to consider approving a grant from DNR and several purchases for the public works department.
There are several other items to be discussed during the meeting at city hall at 200 South Osage Avenue.

The Concordia Board of Aldermen is scheduled to hold a public hearing regarding this year’s tax levy at 6:45 p.m. with the regular session to follow.
According to the regular-session agenda, aldermen are scheduled to consider proposed ordinances regarding the regulation of the use of seat belts and child restrains in a motor vehicle within city limits and the regulation of garage sales by requiring a permit and establishing a time frame for the removal of signage. Also, aldermen are scheduled to approve the 2018-19 Tax Levy.
The meeting is scheduled to be held in room 203 at the Concordia Community Building at 802 South Gordon Street.

The Boonville City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing about the 2018-19 Tax Levy during its meeting.
According to the agenda, the council also is scheduled to hear an audit presentation for the 2017-18 Fiscal Year and discuss a temporary street closures for an event on two separate days in September.
The meeting is scheduled to begin with the public hearing at 7 p.m. in the city council chambers at 525 East Spring Street.
