Some road striping that has been contracted by the city of Marshall will begin a bit earlier than was expected.
During the meeting of the city council on Monday, August 20, Ward 3 Councilman Dan Brandt said the contractors will begin their work on Wednesday, August 22- the first day of school for students in the Marshall Public School District.
Brandt said the big part of the project is striping College Street– from South Odell Avenue to U.S. Highway 65.
In other news, Municipal Services Director Bill Anderson was asked about the progress of the sidewalk project along College Street.
When finished, the sidewalk will extend from South Odell Avenue to McDonald’s.
