During a special meeting of the Marshall City Council on Wednesday, August 22, the council gave its approval to the proposed tax rate presented by City Administrator David Haugland during the council meeting on Monday, August 20.
According to the ordinance, the total will be the same as it was last year– $1.1726 per $100 of assessed valuation on real and personal property. It breaks down into four different funds: 66.77 cents will go into the general fund for the city; 28.87 cents into the park fund; 4.47 cents into the band fund; and 17.15 cents into the library fund.
