A case review involving a Marshall man accused of murdering a Slater resident earlier this year is set for Monday, August 27.
According to online court documents, Adam McAlister is facing a Class A Felony for Second-Degree Murder and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action for allegedly killing 31-year-old Lance Gibson on March 9.
McAlister appeared in person in custody for a preliminary hearing on June 20, and the court found probable-cause, transferring the case to Division 4.
Bond has been set at $500,000 cash only, with special conditions. Two motions made by McAlister’s attorney to have his bond reduced have been denied by the court.
McAlister, who is now 31 years old, entered a plea of not guilty at his arraignment hearing on June 25.
The case review is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at Saline County Circuit Court.
