A Triplett man who is facing felony charges for allegedly entering a home through a window and sexually assaulting a juvenile on August 9 is due in court on Tuesday, August 28.
According to a probable-cause statement, 33-year-old Alan Ostermann is alleged to have entered a residence in the 14600 block of Route M in Chariton County and inappropriately touched and had sexual intercourse with the juvenile.
According to online court documents, Ostermann has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree; a Class D Felony for Statutory Rape in the Second Degree; a Class E Felony for Child Molestation in the Fourth Degree- a Child Less Than 17 Years Old and the Offender Greater Than Four Years Older; and a sex-related misdemeanor. Bond has been set at $50,000 cash only.
Ostermann, who waived his formal arraignment and entered a plea of not guilty on August 14, is due for another hearing at 1:30 p.m. at Chariton County Circuit Court.
