Four persons, including three youths, were injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Johnson County on Sunday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 45-year-old Jennifer Ginnings, of Lone Jack, attempted to make a left turn in her vehicle in the median crossover, and her eastbound vehicle reportedly was struck in the rear by another eastbound vehicle, driven by 19-year-old Annabeth Blair, of Bates City.
While Blair reportedly was not injured, children in her vehicle- ages 5 and 8 sustained moderate and 9 suffered minor injuries. The guardians reportedly refused treatment for the youths at the scene. Ginnings reportedly was transported by E.M.S. to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment of moderate injuries.
The crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 50 at Northwest 1751st Road.
