During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, August 27, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner said some windows are going to be replaced at the Saline County University Extension Office in Marshall.
Northern District Commissioner Richard Clemens said the commission has opened a couple of offices for the use of constituents to be able to speak with their state and U.S. congress persons. He said U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver II opened the office earlier this month.
Clemens said the senators used to send people to talk to constituents in the rotunda at the Saline County Courthouse, but they expressed concerns about security and privacy. So, that’s some of the reasons the commission decided to provide the space at the extension office.
The office is located at 353 South Lafayette Avenue.
