An area historic site invites the public to attend a free, special presentation about the Civil War in Missouri on Saturday, September 8.
According to a news release, from 2 to 4 p.m., the Battle of Lexington State Historic Site is scheduled to have a presentation by Joseph McCoskrie and Brian Warren, authors of the book, The Civil War Missouri Compendium: Almost Unabridged.
 
The authors are scheduled to discuss Missouri’s role in the Civil War and why it is often overlooked by historians with participants, as well as host a book signing following the presentation.
Battle of Lexington State Historic Site is located at 1101 Delaware Street in Lexington.
