A Gasconade County man was seriously injured in a rollover traffic accident in Johnson County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of an eastbound SUV, 25-year-old Obadiah Campbell, of Bland, reportedly lost control of the vehicle as a towed unit began to swerve. Campbell’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, then returned back to the roadway where the vehicle and towed unit overturned, struck a fence and ejected the driver.
Campbell, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by Lifeflight helicopter to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of serious injures.
The accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 50, a half-mile west of Northwest 250th Road.
