Torey and Jinger Felten and family, of Fayette, were among the families honored during the 60th annual Missouri Farm Family Day, August 13, at the Missouri State Fair.
According to a news release, the Felten family was selected as the Howard County Missouri Farm Family by University of Missouri Extension in Howard County and the local Farm Bureau. The family includes Kenzie, Kaylea, Logan and Liam.
Torey is engaged in farming with his father, Leroy Felten. They are row-crop farmers planting and harvesting around 2,400 acres annually. Jinger is a co-leader of Cherry Grove 4-H, vice-president of the Howard County 4-H Senior Council and serves on the Fairground Development board and Fair board. Kenzie and Kaylea are active members of Cherry Grove 4-H and Howard County 4-H Junior Council.
This year, all 114 Missouri counties– plus the City of St. Louis– participated, honoring nearly 490 people from 115 farm families.
