Joseph Michael “Joe” Griggs, age 75, of Concordia, died Monday, September 3, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 10, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia.

Cremation will take place after the funeral service and inurnment will be held at a later date in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Grade School, Crossroads Hospice or American Cancer Society.

Joe is survived by four of his children: Tina (Stephen) Bredehoeft of Concordia, Jeffrey Griggs of Sweet Springs, Kimberly (Gregory) Eason of Bowling Green and Andrew Griggs of Warrensburg; a sister, Margaret Griggs of St. Louis, a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Sadler of Garland, TX; and over 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Kathy, Joe was preceded in death by two sons, Jerome A. Griggs and Joseph M. Griggs, Jr.; and one grandson, Michael Lee Griggs.
