Two Sedalia residents sustained minor injuries in a traffic crash in Pettis County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as 27-year-old Elizabeth Meador reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, and her southbound vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, went airborne and struck a tree.
Meador and a passenger in the vehicle- 31-year-old Kevin Lee- reportedly were treated at the scene.
The crash happened at about 6:45 a.m. on U.S. Highway 65, just south of Claycomb Road.
