Several residents who live along the south side of College Street- between South Odell Avenue and South Miami Avenue- showed up, expressed concerns and asked questions about a sidewalk project during the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Tuesday, September 4.
City Administrator David Haugland explained several concerns were addressed during a special meeting on Thursday, August 30.
Haugland said there also was some concerns about getting snow removed in the winter. He said the city could perhaps remove the snow after all of the city streets were plowed.
Some residents had more concerns with parking and perhaps the city going beyond its Right-of-Ways onto private property.
Municipal Services Director Bill Anderson said a survey of the properties will be conducted by Bob Robinson to make sure the city does not go onto private property.
Anderson assured the residents no dirt will be moved until everybody is happy. He also alluded to the possibility of another meeting being held in the near future or perhaps another session during the next council meeting on Monday, September 17.
