He was hired by the city of Marshall in 2004 as the Superintendent of the Marshall Parks and Recreation Department. During his tenure, the parks department improved in many ways.
After 14 years on the job, Jeff Stubblefield delivered an emotional thank you to the city and park board during the board’s meeting on Wednesday, September 5.

Stubblefield continued…

Stubblefield said the debt was nearly $2 million– with the golf course and the city– when he was hired. He said, “And we’re $200,000 away from that debt being paid off and still doing these improvements.”
On behalf of the board, board president Mike Lamberson presented Stubblefield with a certificate of appreciation.

Stubblefield tendered his resignation in mid-August and accepted a similar position in Maryville. His resignation is effective as of September 6.
