A Warsaw man has been charged with a felony for being the driver of a vehicle that was reported as stolen in Pettis County.
According to a probable-cause statement, the vehicle was reported as stolen on August 20. The vehicle was located by authorities on August 24, and the driver reportedly said he had borrowed it from another person.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and 36-year-old Michael R. Fritchey has been charged with a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree. Bond has been set at $7,500 cash or surety.
Fritchey’s initial hearing at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
